McKenzie | Jupiter High School Florida Senior Portrait Photographer

Immediately, I thought, wow... so sweet and kind.  The first words that popped into my head when I met McKenzie.  She's a lovely, soft-spoken, beautiful young woman.  She's a true testament to the love, guidance, and nurturing from her amazing parents.  McKenzie was such a good sport through all of our day; first make-up and then shooting after her grueling college entrance exam.  And, she didn't feel well, to boot.  But she did it, and she looks incredible!  We had such a blast at all the different locations we were able to hit.  We kept going until we eeked out that last itty bitty sliver of light.  Whew!  We got a workout!  Here are a few of my faves from the day.  Please click on the picture to make it larger so you can see all the gorgeousness up close and personal!

High School Senior Portrait Photography | Jupiter FL

One of the comments I receive most frequently from my senior high school clients is how much they LOVE getting their professional airbrush make-up done with Jessica Casino of Besos Salon.  These young ladies feel pampered and really enjoy this aspect of their senior portrait experience with me.  It adds to their enjoyment of the whole process.  Professional make-up application is important for so many reasons, especially bringing to life, for the camera, highlights and best features of each persons face!  The camera reads things a little differently than the naked eye so it's important to make sure you don't look washed out on camera and that you have no shine.  Most girls don't realize how important it is to have that even matte finish on the face.  Jessica is a pro at contouring and bringing out all of their best features.   Jessica is very attuned to the most current styles and hip looks, so she can create what the girls are looking for, whether it's soft and feminine, urban, glamour, etc.  You name it, Jessica can give you just the right look.  Many times the girls will search through magazines and online for ideas for their make-up and hair.  They bring their ideas, and, in consultation with their make-up artist, create a very special look that is totally that senior girl!  This is such a special time in their lives and they are making the most of it.

Five on Friday

Welcome to a new addition to the blog... Five on Friday!  I'll be sharing five things on my mind, as a way for you to get to know me better.  Let's get started.

• My butterfly garden has been neglected for quite some time.  I am so in love with butterflies, cultivating the host plants for both the caterpillar and the butterfly, but have not kept up with it in quite a while.  Whenever I see a butterfly, it brings me to a halt.  There's a catch in my breath and a feeling of wonder.  To me, they are perfect!
• I'm loving some of the new Lilly Pulitzer clothing that is coming out for spring.  I feel so refreshed when I see or wear her clothing.  The colors are so vibrant and fresh.  LOVE.  What do you like to wear?
• I'm getting a facial today.  My treat to myself for my birthday.  Relax and be pampered.  I don't do it nearly enough.  Maybe I can start a routine!?  Ha!
• I love to scrapbook.  The CHA winter trade show is currently in session with vendors who are showing all their new products collections for the spring.  I love looking at all the new goodies.  However, I've got so much unused product from the last couple of shows, I probably won't be purchasing much in this round.  Such a shame, too.  I really love some of the collections I've seen.
• I haven't been to the Palm Beach Zoo in a long time.  When my boys were little we practically lived there.  Seriously.  I need to fit a trip to the zoo in sometime soon.  I hear it's changed quite a bit so I am eager to see the updates and changes they've made to the ground.  We used to love one particular monkey, who had his own mailbox.  I can't remember his name, but my boys used to write him letters and leave them in the mailbox every time we went.  It was really sweet.  A couple of times I swiped the letters out when they weren't looking so I could include the letters in their scrapbooks.  It's a sweet memory from when they were little.
