What to Wear Wednesday, with tips for rocking your senior portrait photo session with the best fashion and accessories to tell your story, is now a weekly feature on our blog.  It's the updated version of Wardrobe Wednesday which we previously featured.

Now we'll be offering specific ideas based on current teen and senior fashion trends to help you have the BEST senior pictures!  This is the perfect place for all of you fashion-forward, stylish seniors to get tips and ideas for the portrait perfect wardrobe.

Today we are focusing on the huge sensation of graphic tees.  I've seen them all over!  Dressed up, dressed down, they are truly versatile and make a fashion statement, for sure!  I'm seriously in love with the denim, graphic tee, statement necklace look.  But you could grunge it up, rock it out, or summer casual the look.

Graphic tees make a statement.  They have impact.  With just one word, they can tell us a lot about who YOU are right now!

Sarah's Senior Portrait Photos | Jupiter FL Photographer

Sarah came all the way from Ohio to have her senior portraits done with me here in South Florida!  I LOVED working with this vivacious, gorgeous young lady!  Despite the rain, hey, this IS South Florida, we managed to dodge the raindrops and create some amazing images.

Sarah certainly has a flair for fashion and brought the most stunning outfits for her senior pictures!  Her sequin gown was divine!  The elegance of her gown suited our location at an old hotel here in Stuart, FL perfectly.  She looks like a princess!

Our photo shoot took us to several locations including some of the fabulous Banyan and Ficus trees in Martin County.  One of my favorite locations was among the glorious greenery we found on the way to one of our locations.  It was the perfect backdrop for her orange dress.

And the shoes... swoon!!!  I love the black shoes!  Senior portraits are just not complete without the right shoes!  Okay, you can call me Imelda! (Hopefully you know who I am referring to! Ha!)

We laughed so much as we were dodging traffic and tripping over roots from the trees.  And the spiders... well, we managed to steer clear of a few hanging from the foliage.  Oh my!

Beautiful, accomplished, determined, and darling.... all words that come to my mind when I think of Sarah.  I feel truly fortunate to have had the pleasure of being her senior portrait photographer!

We even got the family pet in the action.  The cat was a super fun addition to Sarah's senior portrait experience with us.  Unfortunately I couldn't touch him because of my allergies, but gosh is he adorable!

Despite all the nasty rainy weather we've been having here in South Florida, and the terrible rain we had the day of Sarah's senior portrait photo shoot, we managed to get to the beach at the perfect time.  The ocean was calm and the light was absolutely perfect.  One of my very favorite images ever... LOVE!

High school seniors looking to incorporate the hottest fashion trend into their senior portrait session should not forget about their shoes.  Yes, we concentrate on your beautiful face, but your shoes help give your outfit the finishing touch.

Senior Photos with Emily | Portrait Photographer in Stuart FL

Emily was such a natural in front of the camera.  Her senior portrait session went off flawlessly.  The sun was shining, it wasn't overly windy, and everything was so green and fresh.  Even the air seemed to smell like sunshine.

 For her senior pictures first outfit, she wore the loveliest lace pink dress. It was such a great color on her and was perfect for the backdrop of all the greenery.  The contrasting colors enhanced the whole look and really made her pop off the page, so to speak.

Every senior portrait session is special to me.  Each of the seniors I photograph becomes a friend.  I pour my heart and soul into their senior portrait experience because I really want each senior to know how truly magical they are at this time in their lives.

Emily was, is, no exception.  She is so intelligent, and kind, and beautiful, and... well, I could go on and on.  Most of all, she is genuine!  That is such an important quality and so rarely found today.

I have so many incredible images from her senior photo shoot that I decided to do several posts, by outfit.  Here are some of her gorgeous senior pictures in her pink lace dress.  I have a crush on the dress....  seriously!  And the incredible senior wearing it is pretty crush-worthy herself!!

Engagement Photo Session | Portrait Photographer | Stuart FL

We couldn't have asked for a better day for this engagement photo session.  Despite the heat and humidity, it turned out to be a lovely day.  After the crazy rain in June, and one reschedule because of it, I was so happy when I woke up that Sunday morning to find the sun shining!

We met at Besos Salon so Maritza could have her hair and make-up done by Jessica (HMUA extraordinaire!) and then we were off to downtown Stuart for their session.  I always find such lovely spaces in downtown that are so perfect for photo shoots.

At first, we stopped at Gazebo Park.  I think this place is one of my favorite locations.  There is so much variety in that one little area, I could shoot a whole session there!  Here's one of the images taken there.

We also found a neat little alcove along one of the buildings near the park.  I love how the sunlight lit up the foliage in the background.

Once the couple had a change of clothes, we were off to our second location.  Along the path of river rock and the surrounding foliage we stopped to take a few pictures.  This photo shoot location lent itself to a more intimate feel in the images.  Engagement photos should have a touch of that feeling.

So there you have it.  A fabulous and beautiful engagement photo shoot... with fabulous and beautiful people.  I loved Maritza and Geof's gentleness with each other.  They were so lovely to photograph!  I can't wait for their wedding.

Senior Pictures | Jupiter Portrait Photographer

The group senior portrait photo shoot.. what does it take to put it all together?  Months and months of planning and scheduling went into our senior photo shoot!  There were so many details to think about.

First of all, coordinating with all of these high school seniors and their busy schedules was quite a challenge.  Let's face it, today's seniors are involved in so many activities both in school and outside of school.  Honestly, I don't know how they fit it all in!

Once we had our date planned for our photo shoot, the next item on the list was the location.  I had been scouting areas for graffiti and interesting architectural elements for months.  Finally, I found the perfect location in downtown West Palm Beach.  And wow, there are some superb graffiti areas there!

Of course, the seniors and I pulled together just the right outfits and accessories.  We went with two different looks, one soft and one edgy.  I really wanted to do the soft, somewhat more elegant juxtaposed with the graffiti.  I love that look.

Emily, one of our senior portrait clients, was super helpful in assisting me in the wardrobe department.  We went shopping together on several occasions and she would text me pictures of outfits or pieces as she would find them.  I really couldn't have pulled it off without her help... <3 that girl!!!  And her  mom is pretty awesome, too! (Thanks Toni! xo)

Jessica, from Besos Salon, did an amazing job on all of the girls' hair and makeup.  They looked incredible.  She went with us on location to change up their looks for the second outfits.  Seriously, she is da bomb!!!

Here are a few more images of these amazing seniors.  Anthony was so patient while waiting for the girls to get their hair and makeup done.  He gets special props for being such a gentleman.  And he's a star athlete!

 Vivian and Casey are South Fork High School seniors, class of 2015.  They are besties, too.  Or, as Casey says, "the dynamic duo!"  Two beautiful girls with beautiful souls.

I made Vivian's tulle skirt for this photo shoot!  Yay, go me!  Ha!
